Description
The PADI Divemaster course is the first professional level in the PADI system and is designed for those passionate about diving and eager to take on a leadership role. This comprehensive program equips you with the skills and knowledge to guide divers, assist instructors, and enhance the overall diving experience.
Throughout the course, you’ll learn advanced diving theory, dive site management, and rescue skills, as well as develop your ability to supervise dive activities. You’ll gain hands-on experience leading dives, conducting briefings, and managing dive groups, all while honing your skills in problem-solving and decision-making.
As a certified Divemaster, you’ll be recognized as a diving professional, opening doors to job opportunities in the dive industry around the world. Whether you aim to work at a dive shop, lead trips, or simply share your love for diving with others, the Divemaster certification is a rewarding step on your diving journey!
General Information:
- Prerequisites: PADI Rescue Diver certification (or qualifying certification); completion of Emergency First Response®\ Primary and Secondary Care training (or qualifying training) within 24 months; minimum 40 logged dives; medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months.
- Total time commitment: minimum two weeks
- Minimum age: 18 (15 for Junior Divemaster)
